Board certification is a distinction awarded by The Florida Bar to attorneys who have demonstrated extensive experience, specialized knowledge, and a commitment to professionalism and ethics in their field.
In Florida, fewer than 2% of all licensed attorneys, and typically around 1%, are board certified in civil trial law. Out of more than 100,000 lawyers in the state, only about 1,000 have achieved this distinction. This is the highest level of recognition given by The Florida Bar and requires attorneys to pass a rigorous written exam, undergo peer review by judges and opposing counsel, and demonstrate substantial, active trial experience.
For clients, choosing a board-certified civil trial lawyer provides added confidence that their attorney has been independently evaluated and recognized for excellence in civil trial law.

“I had three events where I needed legal representation in the last three years. I have met a lot of attorneys these past few years, and the only one I would recommend is Octavio. Octavio has saved my life. I thank him, and I’m in debt because when I did not know where to turn, he was honest, fully committed to helping me overcome the problems I encountered, and gave me the best service.”
“Very professional and knowledgeable and took his time to explain everything I needed to know. Answered all my questions and kept me up to date on the case. Also well-mannered and educated. I made an excellent choice by having him handle my case. I recommend him 100%.”
